Important Facts about Concurrent Enrollment
Where can I learn more about concurrent enrollment?
Refer to the graphic above for the steps for concurrent enrollment. You’ll also need to meet the eligibility requirements. Start by reviewing the counselor information session, and then start the application at the college.
Does our school partner with certain colleges?
No, our schools do not have direct partnerships with any
college. We allow our students to choose the college of their preference.
Am I considered homeschooled?
No. By attending our non-classroom-based charter school, you are considered a public school student.
How many credits will I learn?
You can earn up to 10 credits, depending on the number of units the course covers.
Does it count towards college?
All credits earned at a community college are recorded on both a high school transcript and a college transcript.
Can I take a CTE-type class?
Some colleges do offer CTE-type courses. Registration may be allowed. Please contact your counselor regarding these programs/courses.
Does a world language course at a community college count for 1 or 2 years?
That depends on the college. Many community colleges have their first level of world language equal to two high school years. Some colleges do not. It is best to consult the concurrent enrollment guide for your college to determine how it is counted.
How do I determine which classes count toward which subject?
To satisfy a specific high school subject requirement, a student must take the exact college course listed in the concurrent enrollment guide. Courses not listed in the guide will be considered as elective credits for high school.
My college is a single sign form. What do I do?
A single sign form is where a college only needs a school to sign off on a concurrent enrollment form one time. However, you will have to send a screenshot or receipt for proof of enrollment to your counselor each semester.
