General:
All current students who are confirmed to be in residence in the Spring of 2021 are eligible for this housing process. This will include Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores who have been offered housing and accepted the offer via the College Housing process.
If you have not confirmed that you intend to be on campus for the Spring 2021 term, you are not eligible to participate. The list of students who have confirmed housing for the Spring 2021 term will be given to the House Administrator-- names on that list will be eligible. All others will be removed.
Off-campus, returning in the Spring:
Off-campus students may participate in the lottery if they are confirmed to have housing in the Spring 2021 term. Per college guidance, any Junior who was on leave in the Fall term is not prioritized for housing. Their names will appear after those who were enrolled in the Fall 2020 term.
Members of another house:
If you have already been accepted to Cabot via inter-house transfer, and will be on campus in the Spring of 2021, you are eligible to participate in this housing process. You are already a member of Cabot.
If you are a member of another house but plan to apply to live in Cabot via future inter-house transfer, you may not participate in this housing process.
Current Sophomores:
Some current sophomores who are approved for on-campus housing are eligible for this housing process. Their lottery rank will fall below Juniors who were enrolled, and combined with Juniors who were on leave of absence for the Fall 2020 term.
Current Juniors:
Current Juniors who have been approved for on-campus housing, and have confirmed they will be on campus are eligible for this housing process. If the Juniors were not enrolled in the fall term, they will be given lower priority than Juniors who were enrolled during the fall term (this stipulation is the same across all Houses). The Juniors will be housed after seniors. Juniors who were not enrolled in the fall term will be added to the sophomore pool.
Current Seniors:
Seniors who have been approved for on-campus housing and have confirmed that they will be on campus are eligible for this housing process.
Other:
If you have been granted a 5th year for a special program at Harvard, your housing is not guaranteed. You may only participate in this housing process by recommendation of the resident dean (email cabothousedean@fas.harvard.edu)
