School Buses
If you travel to school by bus, you will be issued with a bus pass in your first week. This is a very important document and must be used only by the person named on it. On entering the bus show your pass to the driver/conductor
HELP! I HAVE LOST MY BUS PASS! WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Report immediately to Mr Mulgrew (teacher in charge of transport) He will give you an application form which you will send to Translink. On payment of £20 to Translink you will be given a replacement pass. If you find the original pass you must return it to the school immediately
REMEMBER
It is an offence to use another person’s pass or to lend it to a friend.
Most buses leave the school at approximately 3.35 p.m. so leave the school building as quickly as possible and make your way to the bus waiting area.
Don’t worry about getting on the wrong bus or missing your bus. There are lots of staff on duty at home-time who will help you. Year 8s also get out early for buses in September so that you can get used to the system we have at the bus waiting area.
You will be shown the procedure for catching your bus home on the first day. Mr Mulgrew will provide you with all the details you need to know.

All new students MUST apply for a bus pass if they intend to use buses in or out of school.
Parents/Carers must use the following link to apply for a bus pass and check they receive an email to confirm it has gone through.
This should be completed this week to ensure the students have a bus pass at the beginning of term.
Sometimes students feel nervous about getting a bus to school for the first time. In the Academy, we have a large bus-loading area and there are always lots of staff on hand to help you if you don’t know where to go. You will have a set bus waiting area which is clearly numbered with a large sign and you will get on at the same stand every day. If you have a look at the information below, you will see your bus number, departure time and the usual stand number.
Mr Mulgrew is in charge of buses and you will see him at the bus waiting area every day.
