Cuireadh an Sruth Oibre Gaelscolaíochta ar bun i Mí Aibreáin 2020 mar chuid den fhreagairt ar an phaindéim Covid-19. Is cuid den tionscadal "Ag Tacú leis an Fhoghlaim" é an grúpa seo, ar sruth oibre é sin sa chlár "ATOSÚ" de chuid na Roinne Oideachais. Tá an tÚdaras Oideachais i mbun an tSrutha Oibre Gaelscolaíochta seo, ag obair le comhpháirtithe thar na heagraíochtaí tacaíochta oideachais agus baint lárnach ag cleachtóirí agus ceannairí scoile fosta.

Is é bunaidhm an Tionscadail seo ná a chinntiú go bhfuil na gníomhartha cuí á ndéanamh le foghlaim dhaltaí sa bhaile agus ar scoil a dhaingniú. Aithnítear fosta na cúinsí ina bhfuil earnáil an oideachais ag feidhmniú faoi láthair.

Is é príomhstraitéis an Tionscadail ná tacaíocht agus treoir d'ardchaighdeán a chruthú agus a scaipeadh ar mhúinteoirí, thuismitheoirí agus foghlaimeoirí le tacú le folláine mothúchán, athléimneacht agus leas na bhfoghlaimeoirí agus le dul chun cinn san fhoghlaim a éascú.

The Irish Medium Education Continuity of Learning Group (IME CoL) was established in April 2020 as a component of the response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The group is part of the “Supporting Learning” project, which is a work stream with the Department of Education's “RESTART” programme. The Continuity of Learning Project is being led by the Education Authority, working collaboratively with key delivery partners across education support organisations, with the integral involvement of serving teachers and school leaders. 

The core objective of this Project is to ensure that, whilst acknowledging the constraints within which all are operating, appropriate action is taken to secure, as far as is possible, the learning of pupils at home and in school, during the current pandemic. 

The major strategy for achieving this core objective will be the production and dissemination of high-quality support and guidance for teachers, parents and learners, in order to provide for the emotional health, resilience and well-being of learners and to facilitate progression in learning. 

The project will  produce and disseminate high-quality support and guidance for teachers, parents and learners, in relation to: 

• Pastoral Care, Guidance and Support 

• Innovative approaches to remote learning and teaching 

• High quality feedback and assessment 

• Providing for progression and transition 

• Providing for the most vulnerable, disadvantaged and hard to reach
