MyMaths Website

All our Maths students have access to the My Maths website at www.mymaths.co.uk where they can log in and use their own username and password to complete tasks set by their maths teacher, do some valuable revision of their own, or just have a go at some of the maths games available.

If used properly, MyMaths provides all the lessons and guidance necessary for the independent learner to learn, revise and practise their skills in maths at ervery level. In particular the Booster Packs are very useful to work through as preparation for KS3 End of Year exams and for GCSE at both Foundation and Higher level.

Mr Brownlee (Head of Maths) has put together a short video to give pupils and parents guidance on how MyMaths should be used at home, and how to get the best out of this very valuable resource. You can find the video by clicking below or on the school's YouTube page.

Maths Drop-in

Cancelled due to Covid Restrictions

To support our students with their maths work we encourage them to attend the maths drop-in after school on Tuesday in IT3 from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

The drop-in has become very popular over the last few years and pupils benefit from one-to-one support for the areas they need to develop further in their mathematics.

We use the IT room so that we can make full use of the MyMaths website and other valuable resources which are especially useful for reinforcing the learning and teaching already covrerfed in class and also for revision for end of unit tests and exams.

We look forward to seeing lots of pupils again this year and hope that parents will encourage pupils to attend if they feel that they need some extra support with their maths.
