Inter-District Permit

If your student is in one of these programs (Special Education or Speech and Language), do not begin the Online Enrollment Process.

 We are excited that you would like your child to attend South Hills High School. If you currently live outside the Covina- Valley Unified School District Boundaries, please complete the following steps:

STEP 1: Approval from home district

Prior to completing the following steps, you must obtain a release from your home district. Please reach out to your home district directly regarding their procedures.

STEP 2: Complete PERMIT Application

Email copies or pictures of the following documents to Kelsey Cerano at kcerano@c-vusd.org for C-VUSD approval.

*Please note- This process takes time. Please allow at least two weeks to hear back regarding approval/denial.

STEP 3: Submit Documents

Once approved by C-VUSD, email copies or pictures of the following documents to shhscounseling@c-vusd.org:

*Please make sure that your child's name is listed in the subject line of the email.

*You may also bring paper copies of the documents Into the school office during regular business hours.

STEP 4: Complete Class Selection Process

Watch the video below based on the grade that your child will be entering to learn about the classes that are available and then select your child's classes by clicking on the New Student Registration link.

Watch this video if your child is going into 9th grade in the 2024-25 school year.

Watch this video if your child is going into 10th grade in the 2024-25 school year.

If your child will be entering 11th or 12th grade, you can complete the class selection link above and contact the Counseling Office to schedule an appointment with your child's counselor to confirm the selections.

FInal Enrollment confirmation

Once all of your child's paperwork is received and reviewed, you will be contacted by South Hills to confirm permit approval and that the enrollment process is complete. A counselor will review the documents and place your child in the classes you selected or the appropriate classes based on transcript review and class availability.
