Big thank you to Lizzy Carmichael, teacher librarian, and Samara Williams, principal, at Emerald Elem. for hosting the March 13th TL Workshop. This was the first time many of our TLs have had the chance to see Emerald's Curiosity Center. In addition to touring this welcoming and innovative space, Lizzy gave us an update on Curiosity Center programming and services and the how she's been optimizing the collection to improve patron self sufficiency.
After TL-led workshop sessions concluded the group gathered together for an interesting and lively conversation about what genrefication looks like for their library. Loads of sharing and conversation took place as each TL considered what is best for their patrons. Stay tuned...

It’s a perfect resource for any school or library media specialist that is considering redesigning the library space on both the small and large scale level.
