For Secondary: Funny, You Don't Look Autistic, by Michael McCreary, through April 17.
This is a nationwide program sponsored by OverDrive open to public and school libraries. I hope our secondary students are able to join the nation in reading one book together in the next two weeks.

We've negotiated a simultaneous use license from the publisher through Sora. It will be available for the rest of the school year. Woohoo!!
EDIT: Look for marketing to all of BVSD through the Communications Department. Any volunteers to run a district level book group?
I've written the publisher (HarperCollins) to ask for an early release of the Spanish version ebook, as well as a simultaneous license for our district. I've also asked permission for the Spanish version to be read aloud on the district channel. Stay tuned!

Teachers may be asking you if we can do class sets for book groups or whole class reading. Here are lists of the Elementary Titles and the Secondary Titles that are available for class set rentals. A list of Spanish language class sets will be coming soon.

- Check the linked lists above for available titles or go to Marketplace>Class Sets. (I've also posted instructions on finding class sets in Marketplace on the Teacher Librarian Schoology Group.)
- Fill out the Sora Title Assignment Request.
TL's can create title assignments of single titles to specific students. If you would rather Rae does them, she's happy to. Fill out the Sora Title Assignment Request.

Sora for teachers webinar - live webinar on Wednesday April 8 at 1:00. Let your teachers know this is happening. They'll get an overview of what Sora is and what the app can do for their students. There will be Q&A opportunities throughout. This is a great opportunity for a refresher for yourself as well!

PreK and Chromebooks
Some PreK families were given Chromebooks. Parents can login as a guest. If they run into issues with this, they will need to call IT (720-561-4357) and give the Asset Tag number to IT. The tag is on the bottom of the device.
PreK teachers will be sharing lessons and links that will be accessed on the device, as well as conducting some small groups and speech therapy etc. We are still trying to work out accessing tools that are on the SSO Portal.
