Public libraries have announced their Summer Reading Programs. Please share the following information as it pertains to your public library service area. I am thrilled with our growing relationship between BVSD and public libraries!

Our Sora budget has been surpassed, supplemental funds have been secured to cover remaining class rentals for the school year. Please continue to promote class set rentals if teachers ask. Any requests on the spreadsheet will be purchased next school year.
Update from yesterday, May 6!
School librarians most likely will be allowed back in their buildings after May 22. We will know more details in a few days. You may need to do self-testing for COVID-19 before entering the building. The schools that are involved with Bond work are definitely closed until the fall.

Be sure to take advantage of them by adding them to your library collection before the offers expire. Remember to share them with students before school lets out.

It is the policy of the Board to provide for resolution at the level most directly involved first and in an informal manner if possible. Any complaint about school district personnel shall be reviewed at the level most directly involved with procedures for review up to the Board of Education, as follows:
1. Teacher (if applicable)
2. Building or department level personnel
3. District administrator
4. Superintendent
5. Board of Education
Any complaint must be made within a reasonable period of time, usually the same school year that the incident or concern that is the subject of the complaint occurred. Any complaint filed outside of this timeline need not be considered.
