- Asynchronous Schoology discussion boards starting now in the Home Learning Resources Groups (Elementary and Secondary).
- Share these discussion groups with your teachers so they can share ideas with other buildings.
- Also, you might want to jump in and see what's being discussed, promote your program and skills to teachers. This is a great way to plug into grade or subject area discussions and see where you can build relevance with your teachers.
- Go to Schoology Groups, either Elementary or Secondary (your network)
- Then click on Discussions.
- They are divided into threads.
- CDE Mini Grant deadline extended to June 30, 2020. Only 17 of 48 libraries have taken advantage of this! Report your purchase here.
- COVID 19 ebooks for kids. These are PDF's and can't be loaded onto Sora, but you are free to share the link with families, maybe post them on your library website.

- FYI - Sora Class Sets are two month rentals. These titles will persist in student account for two months.

- SYNC is a summer audiobook program targeted at teens 13 and older
- Offering a total of 26 titles
- 2 thematically paired titles per week
- To participate, students need to sign up on the SYNC website.
Sora is HOT! Checkouts have jumped nearly 3x over this time, last year.
- Regular license - 1,731 titles have been checked out w/5,780 checkouts in the last 30 days
- SU - 285 titles (most free) w/2,500 checkouts
- CPC- 135 titles w/1,823 checkouts
- Class Set rentals - 21 titles w/139 checkouts

The best thing for individual licensed staff members who are losing regular/contracted FTE to do is get in touch with Melissa Ribordy.
A lot of this falls under the Negotiated Agreement language that HR will follow, the timing of other openings/opportunities and several other factors that are sometimes out of everyone's control. So each "displaced" or "reduced" employee is dealt with individually.
