Mandala

Students learn about the ancient tradition of mandalas and how they were used for meditation. They learned how the designs can be found in architechture, on scrolls, and made and destroyed in sand. The center of the mandala often represents the beginning - of the universe - or in this case, a childhood memory. Students chose objects including a childhood toy, favorite candy, something from their room, an animal and more personal objects to create a piece that reflects their personal experience. 

They used shapes, paths, and patterns to create their digital works of art.
