MMORPG stands for massively multiplayer online role playing game. The world is now filled with people along with npcs and the terrain.
RuneScape
One MMORPG is RuneScape which was released in January 2001 by Jagex. This game takes place in the fantasy world of Gielinor, a realm divided into different areas. RuneScape allows the player to do what they would like to do; fight NPC's, do quests or level up skills.
