THIS WEEK IN HIGH SCHOOL
At BVCS, our mission is to nurture and equip students to impact the world for Christ—and that mission is at the heart of everything we do in our high school program. Whether your family is new to our community or returning for another year, you’ll find a dedicated team of Christ-centered educators who are passionate about preparing students for life, leadership, and faith beyond graduation.
Under the leadership of High School Principal Cindy Alavezos, our staff is committed to creating a learning environment where students are known, loved, and challenged to grow academically, spiritually, and personally. In these critical high school years, we walk alongside students as they explore truth, strengthen their faith, and step boldly into their God-given calling.
This year, we’re embracing our schoolwide theme: Holy: What is Truth? based on Philippians 2:12–13. It’s a powerful reminder that God is working in and through our students as they seek His truth and live out their purpose with courage and conviction.
We’re honored to partner with your family for a year of growth, discovery, and Kingdom impact. Here's to an incredible year ahead at Big Valley Christian High School!
Dear High School Families,
Welcome to a new school year at Big Valley Christian School! As your students enter these formative high school years, we recognize the tremendous opportunity—and responsibility—we have to prepare them for a life of purpose, impact, and faith. At BVCS, we are committed to providing rigorous academics, meaningful discipleship, and real-world readiness—all grounded in a biblical worldview. Whether they are discovering their calling, deepening their walk with Christ, or stepping into leadership, our high school students are being equipped to impact the world for His glory. Thank you for partnering with us during this extraordinary season of growth and transformation.
Here are some details to help you start the year!
ROAR!
Mark your calendars for Monday, August 11, for our High School ROAR! Assembly and Orientation!
Beginning at 1:30 p.m., all high school students will meet together in the BVG Worship Center for a high-powered assembly kicking off the 25-26 school year! We are encouraging students to arrive as early as 1:00 p.m. to check in at the foyer of the Worship Center (see enclosed Roar Map).
After the assembly, students will be dismissed to walk over to the 7th-12th grade building.
In the gym, students and/or parents may make purchases including PE clothing, yearbook, class spirit wear (designs are included in this packet), and the ASB Card.
School pictures will be taken on this day. Students MUST be in dress code, including hair, for the photo. See the enclosed dress code flyer.
Club information will also be available.
