Dear BVCS Families,
On behalf of the entire Big Valley Christian School Staff, welcome to a new school year filled with purpose, growth, and Gospel-centered learning. Whether you're new to our community or returning for another year, we are honored to partner with your family in the mission to nurture and equip students to impact the world for Christ.
This year, our theme—Holy based on Philippians 2:12–13—will shape our classrooms, chapels, conversations, and community life. As we pursue academic excellence, we remain rooted in the truth of God's Word, inviting students to discover their identity and calling in Christ.

Join Us for Back to School Weekend – August 16 & 17!
Back to School Weekend is almost here—August 16 & 17—and we have a wonderful opportunity to come together as a school family and bless our church community in a meaningful way.
Hosted by Big Valley Christian School, this special weekend is all about lifting up students, families, and especially educators in prayer as we head into a new school year.
Here’s how you and your family can participate:
✅ Stay after service for a BVCS-hosted fun zone under the sails—complete with games, Otter Pops, and connection time.
✅ Educators, enjoy a free café drink on us as a small token of our appreciation (just show your school ID).

With over 30 years of leadership experience, Bobby Kirchner serves as the Superintendent of Big Valley Christian School with a deep commitment to leading for Christ. In addition to his role at BVCS, Bobby is the Executive Pastor of Big Valley Grace Community Church, where he has faithfully served for over 15 years. His background in education, pastoral care, and strategic leadership uniquely equips him to shepherd our school with wisdom, vision, and a heart for Gospel-centered transformation. He is passionate about partnering with families, supporting staff, and ensuring that every student is nurtured and equipped to impact the world for Christ. We are blessed by his leadership and unwavering commitment to keeping Christ at the center of all we do.

Michelle Mott has been serving the Big Valley Christian School community for over 20 years. With a deep love for Christian education and a strong background in leadership, Michelle currently serves as Assistant Superintendent, providing strategic support primarily in a remote capacity. Her work focuses on advancing key initiatives that strengthen our mission, support school growth, and align with our vision to nurture and equip students to impact the world for Christ. Michelle’s passion for excellence and Christ-centered leadership continues to be a driving force behind many of the school’s ongoing projects. We are grateful for her steadfast commitment and the wisdom she brings to the BVCS leadership team.
