Dear Junior High Families,

Junior high is a season of incredible growth, questions, and discovery—and it’s our joy to help students anchor their identity in Christ as they navigate it all. This Christmas, we’re reminded that real hope is found in Jesus alone. We aim to challenge students academically while also giving them a community that points them to that hope every day.

FINALS SCHEDULE: Monday, Dec 15 -Thursday, Dec 18

Minimum days. ExCare closes at 4:30pm.

The office will NOT call into classes to pull out students, regardless if "everyone is finished" or not. It is disruptive to the other classes around with thin walls and students in hallways. If students are not staying for a class (i.e. TA, study hall, Business Computers, English support, etc.) they must have parent permission (call or email) and can leave during the break between classes. Once class starts, they are here until the end of class.

Students who do not need to be here for the first final of the day are also welcome to arrive during break and do not need a phone call or email to come in late that day. They will not be allowed in hallways/lockers until it is break time however.

Students will not be called during scheduled final times, but they can be picked up at break. Students who finish early should come prepared to study for other finals or bring a book or something to quietly occupy them until the end of the period.

Winter Event

Dear Junior High Parent,

Tickets are NOW ON SALE for our JH Winter event at Modesto on Ice! This private, Big Valley JH student-only event will be held on Thursday, December 18th, from 1:00 - 2:30 pm to celebrate the survival of final exams. Students may purchase tickets for $25 in the office (cash or check), or online using the QR code below, now until Friday, December 12th. The cost of the ticket includes the 90-minute private event session, skate rental, and a hot chocolate or soda. Don't miss out!

We are looking forward to a wonderful time for our junior high schoolers at this event! Parents are welcome to attend as chaperones; however, siblings are not allowed. We want to keep this event EXCLUSIVE to Big Valley junior high students. Also, please remember that transportation is not provided.
