A NOTE FROM LEADERSHIP
Dear BVCS Families,
Two weeks ago in the Friday @ 5:00, I used the 9/11 Friday night football game as an example of how the BVCS community comes together to make an event happen. For those of you who were there, you know that it was an absolutely wonderful evening from start to finish. Last week, I shared about the Impact Fund which is a different and yet still important way we can continue to come together as community.
This week I want to do some reflection again on some of the many other things that took place in September that make BVCS a special place. We had a great turnout (and great presentations!) for our Pre-School Back to School Night on Thursday the 17th. Our 2nd graders had a great field trip. We started all of our clubs at the high school. On Wednesday, the 23rd, we had our 7th-12th students gather at 7:30 in the morning for a time of prayer on See You at the Pole day. Some of our 11th and 12th grade students attended a Construction Trades Day at Delta College on the 24th, and tonight, October 2nd, is our Junior High/High School Theater Arts Showcase.
I could go on with just listing the many events that happen across Pre-school through High School. The point is that these events show that at BVCS we are multi-faceted. At all levels, we are interacting with families, praying together, and experiencing learning outside the classroom walls. And yes, we have plenty of sports happening multiple times per week at the junior high and high school levels—including a football game at Riverbank tonight. Go Lions!
All the best,
David O’Leary, Superintendent
