Background & Qualifications

Erin Jbour

Teaching Career: 

2026 marks the start of my 21st year at Belle Valley.  My first 3 years, I served as the resource teacher for 5th and 6th grades.  The next 13 years, I was the self-contained, behavior support teacher for the middle school.  2022-23 was my first year in the Behavior Interventionist position for the district.  I feel very fortunate to have started my teaching career at BV; I can't imagine finishing my career anywhere else.  

Educational Background:

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from SIUE in 2006.  In 2010, I started my Master's Program through the Teaching American History Grant via SIUE.  I graduated from that program in 2013 with a degree in Curriculum & Instruction.  In 2018, I became a certified trainer in Crisis Prevention & Intervention. Since that time, I have provided CPI training for our district.  In August of 2023, I completed a certification in Trauma Informed Instruction from North Central College.  

Personal Background:

I have also been very fortunate in my personal life.  I am the proud daughter, sister, wife & mother of a truly wonderful family.  My boys, Mack & Kostas, are 27 and 15 and bring me endless joy, pride, and laughter.  If you ask anyone who has known me for more than a little while, they will tell you my husband, NJ, is truly a saint.  

Carly Sintzel

Teaching Career:

This year will be my 10th year at Belle Valley! The first 6 years were spent teaching third grade. Since then I have served as the middle school social emotional learning coordinator. I have loved watching students grow and learn from elementary school into middle school. BV is my home! 

Educational Background:

I graduated from McKendree University with a Bachelor's degree in education in 2017. I continue my education by completing courses and professional developments related to my educational roles. 

Personal Background:

My whole world has changed in the past two years! My husband Joe and I welcomed our first son Jude in 2024. On Halloween 2025, we had our second son Lane. I love my house full of boys and our girl Goldendoodle Greta!
