Welcome to the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of Butere TTI. As a department, we take pride in upholding Kenya’s 17 National Values and Principles of Governance, which guide every aspect of our training, service delivery, and professional conduct. We are committed to nurturing competent, ethical, and industry-ready graduates who embody integrity, patriotism, hard work, and respect for diversity.
In line with our national commitment to inclusive and equitable technical education, we continuously strengthen Disability Mainstreaming within our department. We ensure that all trainees—regardless of ability—access supportive learning environments, adaptive technologies, and fair opportunities to excel in their engineering pathways.
We also champion Gender Equality and WITED (Women in Technical Education and Development) empowerment. Our department actively encourages female participation in STEM, promotes mentorship, and fosters a culture where all trainees can thrive and lead in traditionally male-dominated engineering fields.
As Kenya advances the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), we position our department as a catalyst for the nation’s industrial, digital, and energy transition. Through CBET-aligned training, industry partnerships, and innovation-driven programs, we equip our trainees with the practical skills and mindset needed to contribute meaningfully to national development.
Together, we continue to build a department where excellence, inclusivity, and innovation define our identity.
Welcome to a future powered by skill, integrity, and opportunity.
We are committed to implementation of 100% E-PORTFOLIO Management which complies to Data Privacy and Protection Laws.
