When developing contracts for yourself or any subgroup in your district there some pretty easy steps to take in consideration. The first is money which is a large part to any, are you in a competitive range amongst peers. You never want to be at the bottom. Using arrays or spreadsheets from professional organizations help. It is also good practice to gather other contracts to compare and contrast days worked, benefits, insurance, days off, and other contractual items. Keeping up with recent trends can help in the development of contracts. The biggest piece is listening to employees and trying to work with them on getting a contract they are appreciative of.

Superintendent Evaluation Process and Timeline
Attached is Burwell Public Schools EOP. We developed this three years ago and update it yearly, if not sooner. School safety is at the forefront of school safety. We at BPS have a safety and crisis team that meets monthly, we attend yearly training as a team, individually, and with our whole staff. We also utilize the I Love You Guys foundation and do yearly drills. I am proud of our multiple full scale reunification drills. Over the last three years we have added to our school safety with lockdown buttons, better communication tools, training, and implementing the Safe2Schools Nebraska Platform.
