SUMMER AND VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS 

• Virtua's Volunteer Program: Our junior volunteer program for students ages 14 to 18 has expanded to include a program specifically designed for those interested in a nursing career.  The students will have an opportunity to volunteer on a patient care floor with rotating assignments to include the Emergency Department, Critical Care, Maternal Child Health, etc.  This rotation will give students an opportunity to see nurses in action and provide them with the knowledge to assist in making career choices. 

The program will kick off the last week of June and continue through the end of August.  Any student interested in the program may email me at Tlockett@virtua.org for application processing and orientation information. Please fill out all three forms below.

The deadline for submitting an application is May 1, 2023.  All students must have received a COVID vaccination and at least one booster.

• Burlington Township Junior Firefighter Program: The department is looking for students over the age of 16 to join their department. For more information, please click here.

• Masonic Village at Burlington Volunteers: Seeks volunteers (14+) to escort residents to physical therapy, doctor appointments, salon services, church services, and delivery of water pitchers, newspapers, and mail, all within the Home. • Rancocas Nature Center Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers who love to care for and feed turtles and frogs or help maintain our gardens and grounds. 

• Volunteer Opportunity with Burlington County: Burlington County Clean Communities announces its Fall Litter Cleanup Schedule. Individuals and groups are welcome. Bags, gloves, grabbers, light refreshments, and water to refill your reusable water bottle will be provided. Free shopping tote to all volunteers. Cleanup events are held rain or shine.
