SUMMER PROGRAMS:
State of New Jersey Governor's School of New Jersey: The Governor’s School of New Jersey was established in 1983. It is a tuition-free, summer, residential program for high-achieving high school juniors who have an interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) subjects. Currently, there are two programs: the Governor’s School in the Sciences at Drew University and the Governor’s School of Engineering & Technology at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The programs are open to students from diverse economic backgrounds who are New Jersey residents and who have completed their junior year in any public or private high school or are home-schooled. Participants: 9th-12th Grade High School Students.
A.I. Scholars Live Online: Artificial intelligence is all around us, from Alexa to auto-correct to Netflix recommendations. Inspirit programs offer a unique opportunity to middle and high school students, taught by a team of Stanford, Harvard, and MIT graduate students and alumni. This program teaches about AI early on, even without prior programming experience. By learning and building AI and working on socially impactful projects, students gain a strong understanding of the potential of AI and how it can be applied to their daily lives and future careers. Boston University College of Communication: Summer Journalism Academy: The Summer Journalism Academy at Boston University allows high school students to expand their skills and prepare for college, either through a residential experience on campus or through remote instruction from home. New for 2023 for on-campus students: Stories will be considered for publication in the Daily Free Press, the celebrated college newspaper — a great opportunity for academy students to earn valuable clips for their publishing portfolio.
Brown University STEM Program: If your idea of summer fun is a deep dive into the STEM fields, join other rising 9th and 10th-grade students who are as passionate about advancing their knowledge of the STEM disciplines as you are for two weeks of hands-on team research projects, experiments, and design-build challenges.
College Essay Guy: A 4-week mini-course for helping students develop their leadership capacities, then brainstorm and potentially launch a self-directed project.
In this month-long virtual course, you'll:

Drew University the Wall Street Summer Program: The financial markets have far-reaching influence, but how do the day-to-day operations of Wall Street impact our economy? Answer those questions by spending your summer behind the scenes at securities firms, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Learn about the relationships between the financial system and local, national, and global economies. Study the institutions and operations of financial markets, and their roles in channeling credit and financing new investments. Discuss the financial history and ethical dimensions of Wall Street and its relation to macroeconomic policy. Drew’s distinguished faculty will introduce you to guest speakers from the finance industry and government regulatory agencies, as well as institutional investors, shareholder activists, academics, and nonprofit executives.
Drexel University Summer Institutes: Drexel offers high school students a range of academic programs during the summer to explore what life in college is about. Offering both residential and day options. Your student can take advantage of Drexel faculty-led workshops, labs, and all the city of Philadelphia has to offer. Students can learn in classrooms ranging from a state-of-the-art recording studio to a securities trading lab to a designer boutique to a salt marsh. Your students are ambitious - at Drexel, we help them explore their interests and get a preview of college life.

Harvard Young Founders Lab - Selective Start-up Bootcamp for High School Students: Founded by Harvard entrepreneurs, Young Founders Lab is a selective start-up bootcamp for ambitious high school students. In the program, you work under the guidance of mentors from places like Google, Microsoft, and Meta to build your own revenue-generating start-ups. They pitch their final start-up to investors with funds of over a hundred million dollars.

Lebanon Valley College Health and Biomedical Sciences Summer Camp: The goal of this camp is to provide a window into the scientific basis of human health. Through lectures and hands-on laboratory investigations in state-of-the-art laboratories, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of molecular biology, pharmacology, immunology, biochemistry, and neuroscience. Students will learn how laboratory science can be translated into improved human health, and they will engage in investigative experiences that will allow them to apply their laboratory skills to real-life problems. In addition, students will interact with practicing professionals in fields such as medicine, physical therapy, toxicology, nursing, and biomedical laboratory research. The Health and Biomedical Sciences camp will provide a fun, challenging, and engaging college environment in which students will develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be a biomedical scientist and health professional.
Lebanon Vally College Speech Language Summer Camp: Lebanon Valley College's Speech-Language Pathology department will host an overnight SLP camp this summer 2023. The dates are June 27th and June 28th for rising high school juniors and seniors for the 2023-2024 school year.
Lehigh University Summer Academy: Join a select group of students from around the world at Lehigh University Summer Academy. This unique pre-college program, on the campus of Lehigh University, is designed to help you achieve your full potential. With innovative, thought-provoking, and enriching coursework, combined with learning that extends beyond the traditional classroom, you’ll build your “tool belt” for success both in school and life. In addition, service-learning projects, field trips, and social events will be an exciting part of your program; we’ve got all of your interests covered. Most importantly, you’ll have fun, make meaningful connections, and create friendships that will last a lifetime!
Monmouth College Acceleration Summer Program (CAP): The College Acceleration Program enables rising high school seniors to take college-level courses at Monmouth College. This program is designed for students who are interested in taking challenging courses in a university setting. The program allows students to gain experience with college academics. Students attend a specific six-week session at Monmouth during the summer. The program is intended for students who are prepared for rigorous classes in a college environment. NJIT College Prep Boot Camp: Pre-College Programs at the New Jersey Institute of Technology offers a summer college prep boot camp for students. The week-long program is designed to help students begin preparing for the transition to college. There are a variety of topics included in this summer program that help students take steps towards applying to college and preparing for college. Participants: 9th-12th Grade High School Students.
Pratt Institute: PreCollege Portfolio Development: Workshop
Learn from the expert! Join Mike Barry, Associate Director of Admissions and Artist, in an engaging, 3-hour workshop covering the ins and outs of what makes a compelling portfolio, what a complete application consists of, and the importance of a portfolio for students considering a career and education in art and design. Do you know students looking to improve their English language skills with an interest in art, design, and architecture? These 30-hour online, noncredit classes for English Language Learners (ELL) run June 3 - July 3, 2024, from 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM EST. Classes are available in both Written Communication and Oral Communication - students are encouraged to enroll in both classes for a further immersive experience.Online Summer Courses

Princeton University Summer Journalism Program: The Princeton Summer Journalism Program (PSJP) is one of the only programs of its kind offering a free, innovative residential journalism and college prep institute for high-achieving high school juniors from low-income backgrounds. Over ten days every summer, up to 40 students from across the country explore current events and world affairs through workshops and lectures led by Princeton professors, professional journalists, and alumni on campus. The summer program culminates in the publication of the Princeton Summer Journal, the student-produced newspaper. During their senior year, students are matched with a personal college adviser, who will work with them on their college admissions process. In our 17-year history, PSJP has graduated approximately 380 students who have gone on to attend some of the best colleges and universities and produce content for the most respected publications in the nation. Another 40 will join them this spring, as they complete their senior year and the college admission process!
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Summer Programs: Architecture Career Discovery Program sessions.
This two-week class is taught entirely online and is designed to expose students to the experience of enrolling in a high-quality undergraduate architecture program. High school students entering 10th, 11th, and 12th grade in the fall, who are interested in future careers in architecture or design-related fields and have a curiosity about the world, are encouraged to apply. Rhode Island School of Design Advance Program Online: Still Time to Plan Your Summer, although our residential Pre-College program is now full and accepting waitlist applications, there is still time to plan your summer with RISD! Summer Teen Art Institute at the HD Shanghai School
RISD returns to Shanghai this summer! This residential program (taught in English) is an exciting opportunity for students to develop their skills, goals, and artistic voice while defining strategies for portfolio development and the next steps in their visual arts education. Enroll in a three-week foundational experience, a two-week major intensive, or the full five-week program.

Rutgers University Summer Programs: Students can explore their interests during these one-and-two-week residential academies. Participants: 10th-12th Grade High School Students.
Rutgers University NABA School Program: The Accelerated Career Awareness program (ACAP®) is a program for high school students (freshmen through seniors) in which they are put in the NABA pipeline to help build future Black Business Leaders with focus on directing them to majoring in accounting, finance and its related business fields including entrepreneurship.
NABA’s program is ran in multiple cities across the country. This program includes a one-week residency at Rutgers University - Newark from June 23 - 28th combined with year-round programming. This program is of no cost to those students accepted into the program.
Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes: Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes is a summer enrichment program that provides passionate and intellectually curious students with intensive study in a single course. Our program covers advanced subjects rarely taught in high school, offering students a chance to challenge themselves by diving deep into cutting-edge topics.

Stevens Institute of Technology Summer Programs: Stevens offers pre-college programs for students who are interested in learning more about a topic of interest and who would like to get a preview of college academics. The pre-college programs are based on subject areas that range from business to engineering to computer science to pre-law and more. Participating students have the opportunity to work with faculty members and complete a culminating project. Participants: 9th-12th Grade High School Students.
Stockton University CSI Summer Camp: our students are invited to be part of the Stockton CSI Summer Camp for High School students at Stockton University, just west of Atlantic City. Stockton CSI is a residential summer camp for high school students (and those who will enter high school in the fall) who would like hands-on experience with a homicide investigation and trial. The camp has been featured on The Today Show and in The Wall Street Journal. Campers will work alongside criminal justice and forensic psychology professionals as part of an elite team to help solve a murder. They will be involved with every phase of the investigative and legal process, from a crime scene investigation to a criminal trial. Campers will also go meet attorneys, criminologists, and professionals from the Atlantic County Medical Examiner's Office, the Air Marshal Training Center, and the Atlantic County Jail.

Stockton University Summer Entrepreneurship and Business Academy (SEBA): The Summer Entrepreneurship and Business Academy (SEBA) at Stockton University School of Business is designed to provide a unique platform for area high school students to appreciate and get hands-on learning about the basics of entrepreneurship and business.
A unique and exceptional learning opportunity on the beautiful Galloway and Atlantic City campuses

TCNJ Summer Academy Series: The Pre-College Programs at the College of New Jersey enable students to gain experience on a college campus while expanding their learning beyond the school year. There are different options with the pre-college programs. The Summer Academy Series is designed for students who are interested in gaining academic experience at the college level and exploring potential majors. Students can participate in an academy based on an area of interest and engage in workshops to learn about various aspects of university life as well as the college admission process. The Summer Service Scholars Program was developed for students who have an interest in serving the community. It is a residential program that enables students to take an academic class that integrates service-learning. This program can help students gain an understanding of college life while pursuing their interest in serving others. The College and Career Readiness Program is designed for 11th and 12th graders students who are interested in working on their college applications while also getting to experience life at a university. Participants: High School Students (grade levels can vary depending on the program).
Portfolio Boot Camp: Are you planning to apply to an art school? This workshop is for you! Designed as an intensive portfolio preparation class for 11th and 12th graders, students leave Portfolio Bootcamp with finished pieces that will distinguish them as exceptional artists. Recognizing that observational drawing is often the most important feature an admissions counselor considers when reviewing a portfolio, every Bootcamp includes time for drawing from still-life, figure models, and other live sources.
Pre-College Workshops: Courses are two weeks long, two workshops, and one unforgettable summer. Participants: Students entering 9th-1th2 grades.
Summer Academy: Temple Summer Academy is an academically rigorous pre-college program. Courses are four weeks long, three academic experiences, and one unforgettable summer. Participants: Students entering 9th-1th2 grades.
Thomas Jefferson University: The Jefferson College of Rehabilitation Sciences at Thomas Jefferson University will be hosting its high school REACH (Readiness, Exploration, and Application for Careers in Health) Program on the East Falls Campus.
The College of Rehabilitation Sciences REACH program is open to rising high school juniors and seniors who are interested in careers in exercise science, physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, and speech-language pathology and who are traditionally underrepresented in these disciplines. This includes students who identify with historically marginalized communities, including:
Students from underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities
First-generation college students
Students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds
Students who identify within the LGBTQ+ communities
Students with disabilities
The program aims to increase students’ knowledge of the role of these disciplines on the healthcare team. During this program, students will also learn about academic programs and curricular experiences that will prepare students for competitive undergraduate and graduate applications. The program will include:

Overview of undergraduate degree paths to graduate school in these disciplines
Overview of financial aid and college application processes
Strategies for writing a personal statement and successful interviewing
Strategies for academic success during undergraduate education
The program is offered at no cost to the student and will run Monday, July 31 through Thursday, August 3 from approximately 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Universal Technical Institute: Universal Technical Institute is offering Summer Ignite, a three-week summer training program AT NO COST. Your students could have the opportunity to explore STEM career training before graduating from high school.
It’s fun and they’ll learn in a fun, interactive, and hands-on environment with industry-aligned training! Plus, students who successfully complete the program can earn course credit toward an education at UTI if they choose to enroll after graduating from high school!1 This is a great way to get a head start toward training for a career!2

University of Scranton- Cyber-AI Investigation Camp: We have an exciting opportunity for you to share with your students! This summer our students are invited to a three-day Cyber-AI Investigation Camp July 9-11, hosted by the University of Scranton! This is an opportunity for high school students (rising 10th-12th graders) to enjoy an exciting exploration in cybersecurity and cyber investigation experience in the AI age.
The Cyber-AI Investigation Camp will focus on increasing student interest in cybercrime investigation by teaching cybersecurity knowledge, safe online behavior, and cyber forensics investigation. Camp participants will engage in hands-on explorations of the many aspects of cybersecurity including foundations of cybersecurity, cyber law, ethical hacking, AI, and digital forensics investigation techniques.
The cost for the 3-day camp is $399. On-campus dormitories and meals are available from the evening of July 8 through July 11, for an additional fee.
Camp participants will explore the world of cyber investigation with experts in the field through fun, real-world learning experiences enhanced by teacher-student interaction. Camp activities include hands-on exercises, interactive lectures, games, and career exploration.
A typical camp day starts at 9 am and ends at 3 pm. On the 3rd day of the camp, students will participate in a cybercrime investigation competition. This competition will be held as a team competition in the University’s Cyber-Forensics and Cybersecurity lab.

The W.E.B. Du Bois Scholarship Institute 2021 Online Summer Program
In light of COVID-19, the W.E.B. Du Bois Scholars Institute's Online Summer Program will occur instead of the traditional Summer Institute at Princeton University. During the 2021 Online Summer Program, students will experience an academic and leadership development program by receiving rigorous instruction in college-level courses.
Program Overview:
The online program is for current 7th-11th graders (rising 8th - rising 12th graders).
Students can choose from 17 different online courses (based on their grades)
Villanova University Engineering–Virtual Summer Program is a five-day program that introduces a diverse population of students from different ethnic and social backgrounds to the traditional fields of engineering, including Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Computer and Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. Students also will be introduced to unique aspects of Villanova’s College of Engineering, which include Sustainable Engineering and Engineering Entrepreneurship. Lectures and hands-on laboratory will involve at-home experiments which are taught by Villanova engineering faculty, and daily guest speakers who will provide academic and industry instruction.
Villanova: NovaEdge Diversity in Engineering Academy is back on campus this summer!
You are invited to ask your students to submit an application to this one-week, on-campus program that introduces a diverse population of students from different ethnic and social backgrounds to the traditional fields of engineering including Chemical, Civil and Environmental, Computer and Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. Students also will be introduced to unique aspects of Villanova’s College of Engineering including international service learning opportunities, sustainable engineering, and engineering entrepreneurship. Lectures and hands-on laboratory experiments are taught by Villanova engineering faculty, and daily guest speakers will bridge academia and industry.

Villanova NROTC Summer Seminar:
Join Villanova University this summer for the NROTC Summer Seminar, a unique opportunity for rising high school seniors to experience life at Villanova and get a closer look at our highly regarded NROTC program!
This four-day program will provide young men and women with a better understanding of the balance between college life and NROTC commitment. Participants will gain valuable insight into the rigorous academic and physical fitness expectations required to obtain an NROTC scholarship, and learn about Villanova admission requirements.

Cost: $625 (covers dorm, meals, and swag)

Women's Technology Program (Massachusetts Institute of Technology): This is a virtual online course entirely free. The MIT Women's Technology Program (WTP) is a rigorous four-week summer academic experience to introduce high school students to engineering through hands-on classes, labs, and team-based projects in the summer after 11th grade. WTP is designed for students who are excited about learning, have demonstrated their ability to excel at math and science in their high school classes, and who have no prior background (or very little) in engineering or computer science, with few opportunities to explore these fields. WTP is a women-focused, collaborative community aimed at empowering students from groups historically underrepresented and underserved in engineering. We especially encourage students to apply who will be the first family member to attend college, who come from high schools with limited access to STEM classes and activities, or who are African American, Hispanic, or Native American. Participants: High School Student Females after the 11th Grade.
15 Summer Programs in NJ: Summer programs prepare students with the foundational skills they will need to succeed in college and their careers, offering a taste of college life while building skills in their chosen discipline and passion. These programs often take place on college campuses, with residential participants living in dorms and commuter students attending courses and activities on campus. Not only do students gain independence, but they’ll also interact with like-minded peers who share similar interests. Colleges view summer programs favorably since they take note of applicants choosing to spend their summers furthering their learning outside of school.
