U.S. MILITARY INFORMATION:

        • Selective Service is for all male U.S. citizens, who are 18 through 25, who are required to register with Selective Service. The law states that you must register within 30 days of your birthday.

        • U.S. Military to join the military; you must be between the ages of 18-39 years old. There are a lot of benefits to serving the military including camaraderie and meaningful work, the military offers access to affordable health care, paid vacation, retirement plans, and other benefits that often surpass those offered by civilian employers. In addition, you must take the ASVAB test.

        • How to Study for the ASVAB Test as with any test, how well you do depends in large part upon how well you prepare. To study effectively for the ASVAB, you really need to begin studying at least two months before you plan to take the test, if not more! Here are some basic steps to take:

        • Meet a Recruiter everyone who joins the military has to meet with a recruiter. For some, just the thought of meeting with a recruiter can cause anxiety. This section helps prepare you to meet with the recruiter by helping you to know what to expect, who to take to the interview with you and what questions you need to ask the recruiter. Being prepared makes the interaction so much easier!
