Criminal Investigations
Criminal Investigations is the third and final level in the Law and Safety program. In this course, students will continue their education by learning about:
- Investigative theory
- Collection and preservation of evidence
- Sources of information
- Interview and interrogation
- Uses of forensic sciences
- Case and trial preparation
Students will be faced with various tasks, including:
- Defining the goals and objectives of criminal investigations
- Demonstrating the ability to conduct proper crime scene investigations
- Illustrating the use of forensic science for various statutory offenses
- Organizing the criminal case(s), including field notes, reports, crime scene activities, and mandatory documentation of statutory warning.
