If you are using your resume for scholarship applications:
Your resume should highlight your most significant achievements and experiences that you had during high school.
Your resume should only be one page. Scholarship committees have several of these to read, so you should keep it to one page.
It should be neat and free of clutter. Don't make the font too big, but don't make the font too small either. Make sure you use a readable font because you want the committee to remember you for your achievements and not for your font selection.
You may not even be thinking about writing a resume. However, it is never too early to start. If you want to apply for scholarships during senior year of high school, a resume may be requested with your scholarship application. Resumes may also be requested on a job application. Overall, a resume is a good way to organize all your achievements, community service experience, and skills.
