Welcome to the Summer Jobs page! This page is a great resource for students who are looking to work during the summer. Applications and job descriptions for a wide array of jobs are posted and updated here.
WorkReady is a program that hires young people to work with organizations across the Philadelphia area. Building 21 is a participating WorkReady site and typically hires 20-25 students to fulfill important tasks within our school building and garden during the summer months.
Students are also invited to apply to WorkReady sites with different organizations. These organizations will provide an Application Code which can be entered with the application. Students, be sure to speak with your family about filling out working papers and including your social security number in your job application. Email Ms. Kesha if you need additional supports with your documents.
Ms. Kesha manages the application, interviews, and hiring process for all students who are interested in working at Building 21 during the summer. Check your email in April and May for communication about opportunities to apply to WorkReady so that you are clear about the application process. WorkReady requires important paperwork and there are multiple steps to apply.
