WHAT IS DYSLEXIA?
“Dyslexia is an information processing difficulty which primarily affects reading, spelling and writing. Learners will typically have problems with phonological processing (linking sound to words), visual processing (seeing words and letters), and working memory (remembering what has just been said). They may also have problems with organization, sequencing and number skills”. (Delaney, 2016, p.54)
Some students with dyslexia might find it difficult to track the words on the page when reading. The following activities give learners the possibility to work on their visual processing problems.
Among other things, students with dyslexia are very intuitive and able to make new connections between things and ideas. They are also quite good at working on tasks that involve complex problem-solving or creativity. The aim of the following activity is to focus on students’ strengths.
