Hi! My name is Gabby, and I am a senior at Bucknell. I am currently a pre-med Biology major, and after college, I hope to go to medical school with the goal of working in pediatric oncology. I have always been interested in science and medicine because I grew up around my grandfather, who was a Cardiologist. I am especially drawn to working in the pediatric oncology field, where I can work closely with patients and support children and their families through those challenges.
I was born and raised in New York, where I have constantly loved staying active. In my free time, I enjoy going on runs, spending time with friends, and playing squash. Last spring semester, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Stockholm, Sweden, focusing on Precision Medicine. Living and studying in a new country allowed me to experience a different culture, meet new people that I love from around the world, and gain a new perspective on the healthcare systems in other countries. It was an amazing experience that really strengthened my independence and grew my love for travelling.
My favorite thing about Bucknell is the people who make up our campus. Whether that be the familiar faces I see wherever I walk or the professors who are always willing to help. The people on campus truly are what made my experience at Bucknell memorable.
