About

About Us

We are a student-led non-profit started in March, 2018. We are based out of The Ohio State University's Department of Integrated Systems Engineering. We currently have 20 students and several faculty advisors. We plan to create a plastic recycling workspace available to residents in central Ohio, to educate about plastic pollution, to create plastic products from consumer waste, and develop educational programs to engage the Greater Columbus community with their plastic waste.

During OSU's semesters, we meet weekly on Wednesdays either in Baker Systems (1971 Neil Avenue, Columbus OH) or over Zoom.

Our Mission

Buckeye Precious Plastic will educate and inspire the Columbus community on plastic pollution, sustainable living, and the Precious Plastic ideology by creating a recycling workspace available to all residents in Central Ohio, plastic products from consumer waste, and educational programs to engage the Greater Columbus community with plastic waste.
