Hi Everyone! My name is Sarah Kyeba, and I am a Junior studying Economics with a minor in Business Administration. I am originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, and my parents are from Kenya. Hi everyone! My name is Viet Ha and I am an international student from Vietnam. I am a freshman majoring in Economics and had the wonderful opportunity to be a routine writer for UWE. Professor Kahn has been at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business since 1987. She received her Ph.D. from MIT in Economics in 1983, and taught at the University of California, Irvine in the intervening years. She is an expert on women and STEM, and has published on this topic (in Oxford Handbooks, Science, Frontiers in Psychology, Psychological Science in the Public Interest, Academic Medicine, Journal of Economics Perspectives, and a related article in Nature Biotech). She has spoken to many audiences on women in STEM and in economics particularly.

Hello! I'm Erika, and I'm thrilled to have served as UWE's President. My research interests revolve around the economics of education and the labor market. Right now, I'm working with Drs. Bacher-Hicks and Chi on a project to understand the impact of COVID on the teacher workforce in Massachusetts! In my free time, I enjoy teaching the fencing class on campus, biking along the Charles, and running into dogs on the street.

I majored in economics and I was a part of the BA/MA program. Outside of that, I enjoy learning languages. In the past, I studied Mandarin, but I am currently learning Korean. I have always hoped to become proficient enough to translate in my free time, especially dramas and webtoons. Other than that, I am an Admission Ambassador and I practice karate.
