I was born and raised in China, and my family moved to Singapore five years ago; that's also where I finished my high school career. I found my passion for Economics in high school and decided to pursue this path through college. Hello! My name is Gabrielle Reed Drillis and I was concentrating in Economics with a secondary in Business. Growing up in Salem, Massachusetts gave me the opportunity to visit Boston frequently, truly making it my second home. Initially, I was simply looking for a club that allowed me to network with people who are also studying Economics, however, Undergraduate Women in Economics provided me with much more: empowerment, resources, new perspectives, and growth.

Hi! I pursued a dual degree in Journalism and Political Science with a minor in Public Relations. I was also a Statehouse Correspondent for the Worcester Telegram and Gazette and a Digital Editorial Intern for the media group Modern Luxury. Since I'm passionate about using writing and digital communication to empower the women leaders of tomorrow, I lead the Writing Team as Co-Senior Editor for the BU chapter of Her Campus, an online publication for college women, and co-hosts “Ladies of History” on WTBU, a show meant to highlight women’s accomplishments throughout history.
