To provide social and professional opportunities for minority genders in economics, we offer guidance on career and academic opportunities, facilitate discussions on gender and minority empowerment, and create an inclusive environment.
Spring 2025 UWE E-Board
On behalf of Boston University’s Undergraduate Women in Economics, I welcome you to our website! I have had the pleasure of being part of this organization since my freshman year, when I was looking for a community within the vast major of Economics here at BU. Many of my friendships, network, and academic success is due to this club and I am so glad that you have taken an interest in our community.
The mission of Undergraduate Women in Economics is to help you thrive and find a community. Through mentorship, career development, academic support, and community events, we aim to make economics more inclusive and accessible for all women and nonbinary students.
Whether you're just discovering economics or are well into your studies, UWE is a space dedicated to empowering, supporting, and elevating women in economics — a field where diverse voices are not just needed, but essential.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website! Follow us on Instagram @bu_uwe for even more updates and contact us at our email address uwe@bu.edu or any of our social media pages if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you at our events soon!
Best,
