What did you study at university?
I majored in Language and Communication, which studies the use of language in different contexts and professional settings. As I love learning languages, I also studied French at university, a beautiful language which has a lot of influence on English.
How would you describe yourself?
I am a curious and reflective person. I love learning new things. I also enjoy deep thinking, reflecting on myself as well as questioning things in life.
What are your hobbies?
I like playing music with my sibling and friends. It is absolutely healing. During the weekend, I also sleep a lot so as to pay off my sleep debt over the week. I love walking in the park too. After spending so much time in front of a computer during workdays, it is always rejuvenating to spend some time in nature!
Why do you love teaching?
I enjoy interacting with teenagers. As much as I teach students in class, students also teach me a lot. Students never fail to impress me with their new perspectives and creativity.
Can you give our students some tips on learning?
The key to learning something new is to ‘make sense’ of the things you learn. Every time you learn a new concept or a new word, try to map it onto things you already know or your life experiences. Keep asking questions and look for answers. Never give up on English learning and find your unique way of learning!
