The English Café is open every Tuesday.

Snacks and drinks are provided. There, you can enjoy the boardgames, English books or simply the air conditioning in summer!

However, the snacks and drinks are not for free. You have to redeem the snacks using the signatures of teachers and/or English Ambassadors.

There will be special prizes for redemption in specific months! Stay tuned!

Highlights of our fun activities at English Cafe

Story discussion

Italo Calvino once said, 'Reading is solitude.' However, it is not in Buddhist Tai Hung College! Students read the story together and had a lot of discussion in order to guess the ending. Even if the ending did not come as expected, the students demonstrated tremendous creativity!

Nanaimo Bar Marking

Who says English can only be learnt from the textbooks? A group of students learnt how to make nanaimo bar from Ms Thomson and her seemingly difficult recipe! After the fun making experience, the students even shared the product with their beloved principal and teachers!

Cookie decorating

Students learn cookie decorating by mixing their own favourite colours and decorating their cookies. After that, they gave away the cookies to their favourite teachers! It's a day full of creativity and love!
