Halloween 2023 🎃

What did you do at Halloween?

Our students learnt about the classic story The Wizard of Oz from a group of teachers who dressed up as the characters. They also went trick-or-treating to collect candies from the teachers.

What's more, they hollowed out pumpkins, carved faces into them and put candles inside to create the eerie jack-o'-lanterns!

Most importantly, they had SO MUCH FUN on that day!

English Festival is back!

The ENGLISH FESTIVAL will be returning with a number of interactive and exciting activities! Students will be able to play games and win prizes.

The ENGLISH FESTIVAL will be held on Monday, 15 May 2023 with a gameshow being held in the hall for senior form students. Meanwhile, our English Ambassadors will be hosting a Funfair for junior form students on the playground.

inter-school SPEAKING PRACTICE

Our Secondary Six students visited Maryknoll Convent School (Secondary Section) for an inter-school speaking practice to equip themselves better for the HKDSE. They had the opportunity to practise their speaking skills with students from Maryknoll Convent School (Secondary Section), Ying Wa College and CCC Hoh Fuk Tong College. All the participants took part in the event with great enthusiasm, exchanging ideas with their counterparts and learning from one another.

A new face of Eureka

Look! Our English room, Eureka, looks so much different in this photo! Under the new seating arrangement, students can enjoy more interactive group activities in a more friendly ambience.

Do you like the new setting of Eureka?

Frightful Fun for Halloween

Mischief is afoot here at Buddhist Tai Hung College as we prepare for Halloween. The English Society committee members have decorated Eureka with fun in mind! On 28 October, there will be a photo booth and props for students to enjoy with friends. The fun continues as we prepare for pumpkin carving. Watch this space for all the fun photos. Have a “spooktacular” week, everyone!

English speaking fun

This year, we will have eight days of English Speaking Fun! The English Ambassadors will station outside the Staff Room during recess on these days.

What are you waiting for? Grab your English Passport and a pen and chat with the English Ambassadors and your favourite teachers!
