Description:
SkillFlex is a cohort-based program that supports students in successfully identifying their strengths and interests, exploring various career options, and developing a plan to advance along a career path. Student cohorts are guided through three building blocks: Career Awareness, Securing Career Paths, & Thriving in a Career/Employability. Each phase combines exercises, workshops, and personalized resources to help students identify and build workforce-ready skills. Student participants leave with a portfolio of career resources including a resume & cover letter templates, networking & interview resources, and industry insights. Students who fulfill the program objectives are eligible to participate in a number of flexible structured hands-on professional experiences. Industries include (Banking, Healthcare, & Energy) SkillFlex supports the NYSED's Blue Ribbon Commission efforts to ensure access to career education and prioritize meaningful life-ready skill development for all students.
