Recommended for Grades 6–12, this lively, heartwarming musical celebrates imagination, individuality, and the power of community — perfect themes for young minds.
Whimsical and wildly fun, Seussical brings the world of Dr. Seuss to vibrant life with Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Jojo, Gertrude McFuzz, and Mayzie La Bird. From the Jungle of Nool to the tiny world of Whoville, students will journey through colorful landscapes where “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” Filled with catchy songs, bold characters, and powerful messages of compassion and courage, Seussical is both entertaining and thought-provoking.

This thrilling and powerful musical, with music by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA and lyrics by Tim Rice, blends Cold War politics with a riveting love story, set against the backdrop of an international chess tournament. With soaring music and bold themes, Chess offers rich opportunities for classroom discussion in theatre, music, history, and political science.
