The visa can be applied for either through the official website at https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/ or upon arrival at Jakarta Airport. However, to avoid long queues at the Immigration Counter, we highly recommend applying online in advance.
Below are the steps for the online visa application:
Select your passport's country of origin (please choose the appropriate country).
Indicate the main purpose of your visit to Indonesia (options: General, Family, or Social).
Select the sub-purpose of your visit to Indonesia (options: Tourism, Family Visit, or Transit).
Choose the type of visa you want to apply for (select B1 - Tourist 'Visa on Arrival' (VOA)).
Select the duration of your stay (choose 30 days).
Click on “Detail & Apply”, and make sure to read the terms and conditions.
Click Apply.
Upload your passport and a recent formal photo.
Fill out the visa on arrival application form and attach the necessary documents.
Review & submit: Ensure all checkboxes are ticked during the review.
Proceed with payment. The visa costs IDR 513,500 per person, or approximately USD $35 (excluding any additional bank or credit card fees). The visa is valid for 30 days.
Visa approval will be sent to the email address you provide.
We recommend applying for the VOA at least 14 working days before your travel date.
Passport valid for at least 6 months.

If your country is not listed in the two options above, please follow these steps:
The visa should be applied for by BSJ as the visa sponsor through the school’s visa agent.
Total visa cost, including visa agent fees, is IDR 3,250,000 (subject to change by the Directorate General of Immigration).
The visa application process will take approximately 5-7 working days.
BSJ will send the invoice for the visa cost to the participant before starting the visa application.
All visa documentation should be sent to our Government & Community Relations Department at the email address: vivi_lestari@bsj.sch.id, no later than 30 days before the planned arrival date.
Passport valid for at least 6 months (for holders of travel documents other than passports, such as emergency passports or identity documents, the passport or document must be valid for 12 months).

Proper composition
Proof of registration or a certificate as a participant in a benchmarking activity, short course, or short training program from a government agency or private institution.
Please note that citizens of the following six countries (Afghanistan, Israel, North Korea, Liberia, Nigeria, and Somalia) are required to obtain a different type of visa (called a "Calling Visa").

Each individual must complete and submit the E-Customs Declaration. You can access the form here. It is recommended to complete the form as soon as possible, at least two days before your departure date. After submitting the form, you will receive a barcode. Please save the barcode on your mobile phone to show to the Customs Officer upon arrival.
All international travelers entering Indonesia must complete the Health Pass Declaration (Satu Sehat) from this link before boarding the flight from their origin country. This is a screening for MPox disease. Please take a screenshot of the barcode and save it on your mobile phone, or print it out.
Please print the visa approval to show to the airline or Immigration Officer if required.
Please print or save your return electronic ticket on your mobile phone to show to the airline or Immigration Officer if required.
Upon arrival at Jakarta Airport:
For electronic passport holders, proceed directly to the autogate to scan your passport and complete biometric scanning.
For non-electronic passport holders, proceed to the Immigration Counter for passport scanning and biometric scanning.
After completing the entry process, the Immigration system will send your Visit Stay Permit (ITK) to your registered email address within 24 hours.
