British School Jakarta is delighted to host the 3rd WISE (Women in International Schools Empowerment) Conference, taking place from Friday, 30 January, to Sunday, 1 February 2026. WISE is a women-led initiative designed to inspire and empower both aspiring and established female educators and professionals in the international school community.

WISE aims to act as a network for those identifying as women in international schools offering professional learning opportunities, acting as a resource base and supporting school leaders to move towards greater gender equity in their institutions.

As a response to the need for support for the empowerment for women in international schools, WISE was established by British School Manila Leaders, Katie Tomlinson and Thea Williams in 2022. Early conversations with colleagues across Asia demonstrated a need for wider, more structured and intentional support and guidance for female leaders within education.
