Boys basketball is now 5-10 on the season with an 0-3 record in the NWOAL. The Bears have two more away games and will return home on January 31st against Evergreen.
Girls basketball is 7-8 on season with an 0-3 record in the NWOAL. The Lady Bears will host Liberty Center on January 23 and Elida on January 25.
The girls bowling team continues their unbeaten season with a 14-0 start in duals which includes a 9-0 record in the league. The boys are 13-3 on the season and 9-1 in the league. The girls also won the Napoleon Baker Bash while the boys finished in 3rd place as a team. The boys and girls were also winners at the Golden Bear Invitational. The Bears are home again on January 24 against Swanton.
On the mat, Bryan's boys wrestling team has competed at the Edison Invitational (12th place finish) and had a dual against Tinora to open their season. Bryan will host Fairview at 12:45pm on January 22nd for a daytime dual.
The Bryan girls wrestling team competed at Fostoria on Sunday and the Lady Bears finished 10th out of 21 teams. Taylor Fulk finished in 2nd place in her weight class with a 4-1 record on the day. Mycalah Graves finished in 4th place going 3-2, Payton Geiner went 2-3 to finish in 6th plave and Sawyer Kennedy ended the day with a 1-4 record. Mycalah and Payton were each 1st place finishers at the Patrick Henry Invitational in their weight classes.
The girls team finished in 10th place at the Northwest Classic at BGSU and a 4th place finish at Oak Harbor's Subway Invitational. The boys finished in 15th at the Northwest Classic and 5th at the Subway Invitational. Senior Night is January 27 with festivities expected to start around 5pm.
The Bryan boys 7th grade is 3-6 on the season, and 8th grade is 7-2. Both teams will host Swanton on Thursday.
The 7th grade girls basketball team is 5-6 on the season and 8th grade is 2-8. They'll travel to LC this week and have their last home game on January 23 (7th only).
Junior high wrestling consists of both boys and girls this season. The boys competed at the Wayne Trace Invitational, a dual with Tinora and hosted the Golden Bear Invitational on December 15 where they placed 8th as a team. Griffin Fowler, John Haury, and Connor Monroe each finished in third place in their weight classes.
The girls competed at the Tinora Invitational on January 4 and then at Patrick Henry on January 18. Peyton Geiner finished in 6th place at Tinora and Kendal Veres went 2-2 at the tournament.

The boys and girls bowling teams both won the Golden Bear Invitational back on December 21st and are proud to show off their hardware!
The senior broke the girls tennis record of most wins in a career with 91! Caitlyn also advanced to the State Tournament for the second time in her career. We will be honoring her State apprearance at halftime of the varsity girls basketball game on January 25.
Dom finished his soccer career off with 686 career saves. The four year starter surpassed Chris Fix's previous record of 654 he set between '94-'96.
Zoey set the school record of high two game series with a 524. The previous record holder was Danika Hickey with a 510 in 2016
The junior broke the 100 yard backstroke with a record of 58.76. Izzy Rigg was the previous holder with a time of 1:00.85 back in 2016.
8th grader, John Deitemeyer, broke the JH record for the two mile at 10:46.1. John went on this past season to be the individual NWOAL champion!
Last week, our Bryan Athletic Boosters had the chance to honor Kate Thormeier and Braydon Buchanan at a home basketball game, for competing at the OHSAA State Cross Country Meet in the fall! We thank them, along with their coaches, for their dedication and committment to their sport!
