Fourth Grade Summer Skills

Writing longer pieces of work by going through the process of editing, revising or expanding sentences.
Read a lot and use our strategies to find main idea, theme, or structure of the text.
Master multiplication and division facts and know them as “related facts”

(Ex: 6x4 = 24 and 24 ➗4 =6)

Find math in daily life! (add and subtract money amounts or find fractions in recipes)
Understand place value and use it to regroup for adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers
Practice partial products using area model to find a product
Practice partial quotient models to solve division problems
Analyze word problems using critical thinking to really understand what you know, what operations need to be used, and what you need to know (what you are solving for).
