The Mesoamericans used mathematics to forge and prosper their civilizations. Mathematics varied with different concepts such as the original zero, and their base twenty number system. Mathematics were used for accounting, trade, architecture, astronomy, and a multitude of inventions.

The Mesoamricans mathematics used a large quantity of visuals and culture to impact their math, like their numerals. Their numbers used dots, lines, and faces to represent different values like one and five respectfully. Mesoamricans used scribes for mathematical documents, these documents are how the Mesoamricans were able to control and manage an efficient trading system; record keeping. The Mesoamricans also used mathematics to create calendars utilizing their concept of zero, this led to more effective time management, agriculture, and trading.

Mesoamerica prospered immensely from their advanced mathematics, it proved vital for their daily lifestyle regardless of their profession or role in their civilization. Mesoamerican trading was immensely impacted by their mathematics. Using scribes to account trade records and stocks allowed them to enhance their spread on other civilizations among central America. Mathematics also improved agriculture and gave them more products to trade. Trade made the Mesoamerican beliefs, culture, knowledge and more travel through Central America, leaving a massive impact.
