The Italian Renaissance
The Italian Renaissance is a time period stretching from the fourteenth century to the seventeenth century. Italy's Renaissance sparked a time of mass innovation, advancing philosophy, architecture, literature, art, and science. There were many breakthroughs and progressions that occurred during this time period including the inventions of humanism, the musket, credit and banking, perspective in art, printing press, and the astrolabe. All of which having their own uses and influences on society.
The Italian Renaissance was known as a period of rebirth. The intellectuals from that time period created and brought back ideas inspired from ancient Greece and Rome. Countless historically significant events took place during the Italian Renaissance. The rise of certain city states, the crusades, and the fall of Constantinople are just a few examples. Some of history's most famous people came from this time period such as Michelangelo and Copernicus.
The Italian Renaissance was a time period where humanity was starting to advance at an accelerated rate thanks to the progress made in innovations and inventions. The discoveries made during the Italian Renaissance are still important and influential to this day.
Unfortunately the Italian Renaissance ended in the seventeenth century due to wars, drawing the exciting and thrilling era to a close. Despite ending in the seventeenth century, the Italian Renaissance is still an interesting topic to this day, marking one of the most impactful golden ages in modern history.
