Why was Cavalry needed Ancient Persia?
Cavalry was needed to use high mobility flanks in order to be able to block out any attacks from the enemies. They also developed different shock tactics to use against those of opposing sides, these include high quality and heavy armored cataphracts; which were men and their horses that were armored in lamellar or scale. They also used missiles as a weapon that some of their archers would use to weaken the enemy before they come in and get charged by the lancers which intend to cause more weakness.
How was it created?
Cavalry was created through horse riding with the Aryans and they developed units through Cyrus the great and other rulers that provided safety for their cities. This included using horse riding nomads to be able to lead their shock tactics and for scouting out different invaders and enemies.
How did Cavalry impact ancient Persia?
Cavalry had a significant impact on Persia by providing high mobility in their military tactics and units. They also provided the ability of quick response to invaders and quick response in war without being held back due to how the other side attacked. Cavalry was well trained and well guarded, they did everything to protect their people and to protect their nation.
What impacts did Cavalry have on later civilizations?
Cavalry later impacted other civilizations by transforming their warfare and it enabled new tactics allowing for more stability around their bases and homes. They also provided mechanized and armored warfare that has carried into today's military. Cavalry also allowed for quick and efficient ways in traveling in war when being invaded.
