Introduce To Students
Before introducing this to students I suggest exploring some non-digital programming, like the human robot, or graph paper coding.
Have students create accounts (teacher needs to save the password). Use teacher email for guardian, so that passwords can be reset by the teacher if needed.
Have students complete some of the tutorials form: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/editor/?tutorial=all
Activity Ideas
Have students use Explore to find a pre-built program and then use the "Remix" option and let them change something in the game.
Try the having them complete the: Surprise Story Lesson
Earn A Badge
Badges are earned by showing proficiency of coding beyond grade level expectations.
