New and changed features in BRP app and web

This page describes the development of the BRP App & Web. New features (as well as existing ones when they are changed and/or enhanced), are being described briefly. When applicable there will be links to online documentation for deeper descriptions.

Common features for App & Web are listed first, then App and Web features are listed for features only applicable on respective platform. Any support tickets that are included in a release will be communicated through Zendesk.

BRP Systems is using a GA (General Available) release strategy where new versions are released 4-5 times a year. The releases are denominated by year and week. GA 2022.49 was built week 49, year 2022. On top of this extra releases are planned for the App & Web, these will also be listed on this page: with year and week number for the release candidate to be taken.

Features for both App (Version 2.93.10) & Web (1.116.6)

Ability to filter out content that is not available for certain facilities and present local content
- Preffered facilities is introduced to the web
- Preffered facilities in app & web will filter web categories according to their configuration
- Feature is enabled with a setting in BRP: enableFilteringOfCentralLocalContent
Pay with Customer Account/"My Credit" and view Customer Account balance on My Pages - Pilot functionality
Manually created fields in signup flow
- Manually created fields defined in BRP Configuration can be used in the sign-up flow and also be displayed on My Pages. The purpose with this is for customers to collect mandatory information about members. If the checkboxes Used on person and Use in New person wizard are checked, the manually created field will be displayed when signing up and if show or show/change is selected from the Use when registering on the internet is selected the answers will be displayed on My Pages.
- Note that Onboarding questions can be used for similar purpose, but if the information is mandatory to collect by legal regulations, onboarding questions are not recommended for this purpose. Read more about Onboarding questions here.

App-specific features:

Redesign of Mobile Entrance: improved ease of use.
Improved service booking and filtering flow and look. Same filter look redesign will be applied to group activities in GA11 release.
Adjusted wrong time format shown in the app (AM/PM format was shown incorrectly)

Web-specific features:

GA 2022.49 Release Dec 19 (app) & Dec 21 (web)

Features for both App (Version 2.85.25) & Web (1.112.10)

The setting internetHideOldGroupActivities is implemented to work.
- Enabling this will hide passed group activities for the current day
Free text search in filtering for group activity filter options.
Highlightning when signing is needed (for Autogiro, avtalegiro etc). As we do when signing of contract is needed.
Improved image handling
- Image focal point is possible to use in BRP Configuration when managing images
- We have done work "behind the scenes" with regards to the image handling to show better quality images.
Terminology more clear in the subscription purchase checkout
- Previously it said "Total" two times which was confusing. Now it says "Pay now" and "Total payment for the period".
Informing about freeze period on My Pages
- Freezed subscriptions are listed and now the freeze period date is added to this information.
Improvements in the value card checkout flow
- Value cards not possible to apply on shopping card products are not possible to select in the value card dialog
- Terminology change: activate --> apply
Improvements in the subscription purchase flow
- Information about age limits for youths has been added when selecting/filtering for customer type
- Payment plan filtering has been changed: previously the options were 'All/monthly/yearly' and this does not correspond well to how payment plans are defined in BRP. This has been changed to 'Recurring/One time payment'
When the amount to pay is zero, you do not have to select payment method to proceed with the purchase/booking

Events
A bug correction fixing the mismatch in date/day for group activities and services for activites scheduled during 2023.

Web-specific features:

Ability to provide directs links to the web, by copying the URL for the pages
- Links to My pages in the web
- Links to personal data step in sign up flow for a product
- Link to Invoices with invoice type selected (e.g: unpaid invoices)
