Can-Am 3WV Rules & Requirements
Valid License
Only staff members who possess a valid and appropriate motorcycle license are permitted to use the company motorcycle. The license must be current and in accordance with the local traffic regulations.
A copy of your of your valid licence needs to be supplied with each booking
Authorization
Prior authorization is required from the concerned department or supervisor before using the company motorcycle.
Staff members must seek approval and provide the purpose, duration, and destination of the trip as per guidelines on and approval forms onthe EVP website.
Safety Gear
All staff members using the company 3WV must wear appropriate safety gear, including a helmet, gloves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. Safety gear should be properly fastened and in good condition.
Inspection
It is the responsibility of the staff member using the motorcycle to ensure that it is in proper working condition before each use.
Checking tyre pressure, brakes, lights, and indicators, should be performed. Any issues or concerns should be promptly reported to the appropriate.
Secure Parking
Staff members should park the 3WV in designated parking areas, ensuring it is securely locked. Parking should comply with local regulations and not obstruct entrances, exits, or walkways.
Responsible Riding
Staff members must adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the company motorcycle. Speed limits, traffic signals, and road signs should be strictly followed. Reckless driving, stunt riding, or any illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
Any and all fines will be assigned to the staff member that the 3WV was booked out to at the time of the offence.
If found to be speeding more than 1 time or if over 5kmph then a 12 month ban will be imposed on the first offence and a 5 year ban on the second offence.
Passenger Limit
The company 3WV is designed to carry only one rider. Under no circumstances should staff members carry passengers, as it poses safety risks and violates the terms of usage.
Prohibited Activities
Staff members must not use the company motorcycle for personal purposes, such commuting to and from work, unless explicitly authorized.
You must follow all BRP alcohol and drug policys while using the 3WV. This means a 0.0 blood alchol level.
Reporting Accidents and Incidents
In the event of an accident, staff members using the 3WV must immediately report the incident to their supervisor and provide all necessary details. This includes sharing information about any damages, injuries, or involvement of third parties.
Insurance and Liability
Staff members using the 3WV are responsible for exercising caution and adhering to all rules and regulations. Any fines, penalties, or damages resulting from non-compliance or negligence will be the responsibility of the staff member.
It is recommended that you purchase road side assistance for yourself as all towing fee’s are the responsibility of the staff member
Compliance with Company Policies
The use of the company 3WV should be in line with the organization's policies and guidelines. Staff members should familiarize themselves with these policies and comply with them while using the company motorcycle.
Booking
The units can only be booked out of a maximum of 4 days at a time, unless explicitly authorized.
-Check the availability of the unit/s you wish to book by looking at the Booking Calendars. If a unit is already booked you will see the time the units existing booking is commencing, followed by 'busy' (e.g 6am busy).
-Complete the EVP Loan Checklist and the EVP Loan Idemnity Release Form
Fuel
The unit will be returned with a full tank of fuel after each use, failure to do this will lead to a 3 month ban for using the unit and the cost of filling the unit will be passed on to you.
These rules are put in place to ensure the safety of staff members and maintain the integrity and functionality of the company 3WV. Violations of these rules may lead to disciplinary action and the revocation of privileges to access the company EVP Program.
