Research Recommendations Checklist

About the Checklist:

We have compiled a checklist of things to consider when conducting antiracism research. This may be a helpful resource for those new to antiracism research, as well as those with experience working in this area. It includes tips for the following phases of research:

  • Research planning

  • Research design

  • Data collection

  • Data analysis

  • Findings and Dissemination

This has been adapted from Ford and Harawa's (2010) recommendations for research.

You can access this checklist here.

How to Use this Checklist:

You can use this checklist through any or all phases of research. While it is recommended to use this checklist as early as possible, it is never too late to make improvements to our antiracism research practices.

Each question on the checklist provides an opportunity to reflect on research practices. If you answer "no" to any of the questions, the checklist provides recommended action steps.
