Hello Brookville Elementary students and parents! I'm Mrs. Storie, the School Counselor. This year is my third year at Brookville Elementary. The 2023-2024 school year is my fifth year as an elementary school counselor and I look forward to working together to make it a great year. I'm so lucky I get to do this job!
As a School Counselor, I perform the following roles in order to promote positive development in academic, career and social/emotional areas:
Short-term individual counseling
Small group counseling
Classroom lessons monthly in each classroom
Organize student support team (SST) to promote student success
Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators and students
Respond to school crises or emergency situations
Provide information, resources and referrals to parents on a variety of issues
