This term we will learn who the Anglo-Saxons and the Scots were, where they came from and why they chose to settle in Britain. We'll ask and answer lots of questions in this unit; how does digging up objects which are 1,500 years old help our learning? Did the Anglo-Saxons recycle? And was it really a 'Dark Age'?

You'll use your prior learning about the Roman Empire to make comparisons to this historical period and you'll go on to learn about Vikings and why some of them also chose to settle in Britain.
