THE PROCESS

Grommets are rings used to protect holes in thin materials like fabrics, sheet metal, and carbon fiber. Grommets or eyelets are used so that wires, rope, or cords can be put through your material without tearing through or misshaping the hole.   The Grommet Maker enables users to attach metal rings to materials that enable hanging or display.

COST

• All materials, machines and machine time are included as part of academic study and growth.  All projects that are required for a class have NO cost.

• For individual ideas and projects created outside of school requirements there is a nominal cost for materials and machine time. For grommet cutting and installation: 

  • • $0.25 per grommet

    • Sizes available include:

      • 1/2 inch

      • 3/8 inch

      • 1/4 inch

    • You may purchase materials from Maker Space for a nominal fee or provide your own materials approved by the Maker Space Staff.  NOTE:  Maker Space Staff cannot be responsible for damage done to patron provided materials.

  • You will get a price quote before your file is printed and jobs must be paid for before they are completed.
